Real move into new head office space in Sussex
Construction and regeneration business Real have taken another important step on their business growth and development journey by opening a new combined head and regional office in Sussex, an hour from central London.

The 484 sq. m office, which has flexibility at the forefront of its design, is situated in Piries Place, Horsham, and is large enough to comfortably accommodate 60 staff with plenty of space for the further expected expansion.

Situated in the heart of Horsham, and only a short walk to the train station, the location offers great connections into central London and the South Coast, as well as being close by to many shops and lunch spots.

The comfortable, bright and airy modern space is designed for collaborative working, with break out spaces, a board room and four themed meeting rooms, inspired by music from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 00’s decades are available for more formal meetings and quick catch ups. Designed with positive mental wellbeing in mind, the office boasts many plants and greenery to recreate the calm feelings that nature can provide.

A Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) ventilation system has been installed, including CO2 sensors, to provide fresh air to all the office and meeting rooms.

A large proportion of the Real team, including the group board, the LSE board, central services including finance and buying teams will have access to and be primarily based at the new office. With flexible working in mind, staff will not be expected to work from the office five days a week and there are hot desks available for staff who are usually based at other locations.

Paul Nicholls, Chief Executive at Real, said:

“Opening the new office is a huge milestone for Real and I’m thrilled that it has been achieved just nine months after we first launched the business.

“We’re providing a space that not only accommodates a large proportion of our team, but we’ve created an adaptable working style that allows for collaborative and flexible working, which has become increasingly important throughout the ongoing pandemic.

“We look forward to using the space as the business continues to grow and hopefully welcome even more new members to the team at Real in the near future.”

Planting roots across the South East and West, Real have also renewed the lease of their regional office in Ham Green, Bristol where around 20 staff are permanently based supporting projects across Bristol, Bath and Cirencester. The space will soon be undergoing a refurbishment to reflect a modern and flexible workplace.
